Important Reminders Regarding Corestone Account™

Issue 22, 2012

As a reminder, Corestone Account™, Pershing's new asset management account offering, has replaced ProCash Plus®, and the bank sponsor changed to PNC Bank (PNC). To ensure the seamless continuation of your clients' checking accounts, bill pay services and debit cards, we encourage you to remind your Corestone Account clients of the important steps they need to take before February 29, 2012.*

Your Corestone Account clients should have already received their PNC checking starter kits and new debit cards (if applicable) in the mail.

Below are the immediate steps Corestone Account clients need to take:

  1. Stop using their old checks and debit cards and shred them right away.
  2. Update any automated debits or credits (e.g., authorized debits and direct deposits) or bill payment instructions they had with their old checking account with the new information. NOTE: Any checks, automated debits or direct deposits presented to old checking accounts after February 29, 2012, will be returned unpaid.
  3. Activate their new Visa® card(s). Each Visa card and PIN will need to be activated separately. Also, they should update any automated payments they had with their old MasterCard® with their new Visa card information. Transactions on the old MasterCard presented after February 29, 2012 will be declined.

*Not all firms use "Corestone Account" and that some firms private label our Asset Management Account
