Suresh Kumar is the Chief Information Officer for Financial Markets and Treasury Services at BNY Mellon and Pershing, a BNY Mellon company. Mr. Kumar also serves on BNY Mellon’s Operating Committee, the organization’s senior management body. Mr. Kumar is also a member of Pershing’s Executive Committee, where he is responsible for application development, program management, process assurance, project management, quality assurance and technology product management. Mr. Kumar is also the Chief Executive Officer of iNautix Technologies India Private Limited, a technology affiliate of Pershing that provides offshore development services.

Mr. Kumar joined Pershing in 1986. Prior to his current assignment, he was the chief information officer of CSFBdirect and DLJdirect. DLJdirect was a pioneer in online brokerage on Prodigy Network, America Online and the Internet, with a global presence in Japan, Hong Kong, United Kingdom and Dubai.

Mr. Kumar is the chairman of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority Technology Advisory Committee. He has served as a member of the Technology Advisory Committee of the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation, and also the Technology Management Committee of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association.

Mr. Kumar earned a Bachelor of Technology degree from the Indian Institute of Technology at Madras, a Master of Business Administration degree from the Indian Institute of Management at Ahmedabad and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the New York Institute of Technology. Mr. Kumar was named “CIO of the Year” in 2006 by the New Jersey Technology Council and named to CIO Insight magazine’s annual list of “Top 100 CIOs” in 2007
