Sharon Simmons is a Managing Director and a member of the Executive Committee for Pershing, a BNY Mellon company, where she is responsible for the overall management of Pershing’s People Services business unit, which encompasses all human resources, customer training, diversity, training and professional development programs for the firm. Ms. Simmons joined Pershing in 2001 as a director and the senior manager of the Professional Resources group within the Pershing Technology group.

Prior to joining Pershing, Ms. Simmons worked at Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB). Ms. Simmons joined CSFB in 1995, where she had several senior management roles within the Human Resources department, including responsibilities as global head of Human Resources for CSFB’s Information Technology area. Previously, Ms. Simmons worked in the Human Resources area of Merrill Lynch’s Investment Banking Group.

She is a member of various committees within BNY Mellon including the Corporate Social Responsibility Council, the Global Employee Engagement Roundtable and was a founding member of The Bank of New York Global Diversity Council. Ms. Simmons is also a member of the Securities Industry Human Capital Roundtable.

Ms. Simmons earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Kean University.
