Ram Nagappan is a Managing Director and member of the Executive Committee for Pershing, a BNY Mellon company, where he is responsible for Architecture and Technology development, including all customer delivery products for investment professionals and their clients. This encompasses Pershing’s Internet-based account management and trading platform, NetX360® and NetExchange Client®, Computer Telephony, Mobile Technology and Windows®-based financial applications. In total, Mr. Nagappan has overall management responsibility for more than 1,700 technology professionals at Pershing’s U.S. facilities and at the firm’s offshore development center in India.

Mr. Nagappan began his career at Pershing in 1988. Prior to joining Pershing, Mr. Nagappan was a technology consultant to Pershing, Guardian Life Insurance, Bakst International and Data Software Research Corp. Mr. Nagappan pioneered the effort of bringing many new technologies to Pershing, Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (DLJ) and DLJ’s online brokerage service, DLJdirect, which later became CSFBdirect. Mr. Nagappan has more than 26 years of information technology experience with strong brokerage and financial services knowledge.

Mr. Nagappan earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Communication from Anna University Chennai (India).
